Petaling Jaya, also known as PJ to the locals, has a rich and colourful history, apart from being touted as the first satellite town and first planned town in the country. It is a well-connected residential township with a vibrant shopping scene, excellent food choices as well as thriving commercial and industrial hubs, all within a 30-minute drive from the city centre or via LRT and MRT lines. Through a journey of transformation and development, Petaling Jaya was officially named a city in 2006.
